Nissan Note Dipped/Main Beam Bulb Replacement
Access to the rear of the Nissan Note headlight is unobstructed, so replacing the dipped/main beam bulb should be straightforward. The only minor challenge might be unclipping the retaining spring; otherwise, everything follows the standard manual procedure. The front headlight unit uses a standard **H4 base bulb** which functions as both the **dipped and main beam**.
If you also need to replace the side light (parking light) or indicator bulb within the headlight unit, you will need to purchase the following: **side lights W5W 12v 5W** (wedge base), part no. 26717-2F000, and **indicator bulb PY21W**, part no. 26261-5F005.
The procedure for replacing the bulbs in the front headlight is detailed in the photos below.
The step-by-step procedure for replacing the headlight bulb on the Note is illustrated in the picture.
Look at the back of the headlight unit.
Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the rubber dust cover.
As you can see, the bulb is held in place by a wire clip. Unhook the retaining springs.
You can now remove the bulb for replacement.
Pull out the lamp (naturally, **do not touch the glass part with your bare hands!**).
Install the new bulb in reverse order (headlight bulb — H4 60/55W part no. 26294-5F005, or the analogue shown in the photo KE260-89900). You could also fit OSRAM Bilux H4 Night Breaker Plus bulbs, as they provide better illumination than the standard factory ones.
